I’m spending this weekend at an EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) training in Asheville, NC. And it’s beyond gorgeous here.

Are all EAP trainings in beautiful places? Last time I got to go to Traverse City, MI. I’m totally ok with this pattern.

The only problem is that I don’t have NEARLY enough time to take photographs! And boy does it hurt. I just want to drive around all day, pulling over to the side of the road to photograph everything from mountains to cows to funky signs pointing towards abandoned barns. Unfortunately trainings and workshops leave you pretty tired, and without much extra time… But don’t worry Asheville, I’ll be back.

This isn’t really the place to talk about work or EAP (though, look it up if you’re curious. This training modality is called Natural Lifemanship and they have a great website) but it IS a place to talk about how gorgeous this facility is. And how jealous I am of the owners, whose house overlooks this view.

Someday, folks. Someday. For now, things are pretty good in Atlanta. Husband. Job. Dog. Cat. Honeymoon on the books. I have no complaints.

But someday.

The thing about doughnuts

*Disclaimer*

I just wrote an entire post about doughnuts, posted it, and realized that just last week I also posted about doughnuts. This feels more than a little embarrassing. So. take this post as you will.

Doughnuts are kinda the best.

As are husbands.

You see, I’ve had a couple not so hot days. Nothing in particular, well other than perhaps the DMV (which is always awful). Just general angst. Some serious sugar cravings. A strong desire to sit around the house re-watching parks and rec and re-reading favorite books and napping… Fun stuff.

Tonight, not only did my (still new enough to ask you to forgive the blatant use of this word) husband look up directions to a park I wanted to visit, he also added directions to a Krispy Kreme for a post-park sugar hit. He knew I’d been feeling pretty low, and that doughnuts were on my mind, but actually going to get them? That wouldn’t have happened if it was just me.

In all honesty, we didn’t make it to the park. We’re still new around here and we got a bit lost.

But we definitely made it to the doughnuts.
